The following screen images illustrate the installation process for TreFre Medical (TFM). These particular screens are the ones that get displayed on a Apple Computer running OSX however similar screens will be displayed during an install of TFM on any PC running Windows. Screen colors and some of the text may vary but the questions and the install process is the same for both. There are several simple steps to the process.
To avoid any conflicts with existing applications, you should quit all running applications before continuing. When this is done select the "Next" button.
TreFre Inc. has spent several years developing this software. We need to protect our investment by asking you to respect us and accept the terms of our License Agreement. Select the "Accept" button and then select the "Next" button.
There are only a few files required to support TFM. So, we strongly recommend the you install the Typical installation set which is already selected. So just select the "Next" button.
The installation script will pick the standard directory Applications to install TFM on a Apple Mac OSX operating system. For a PC install, the Program Files folder would have been selected. The only thing you have to do on this screen is select the "Next" button.
For either an Apple OSX or a PC Windows install, the install script will create an alias/shortcut for the application in one of several locations. Pick one that you typically use and the installation script will place the alias/shortcut for TFM in that location.
You are presented one last review of the choices you have made and the resources necessary to install TreFre Medical. This is an effort to make sure that you understand the changes that the installation of TFM will have on your computer and where the modifications will be made.
This is the step where all the work gets done. The files are taken out of the installer and placed in your file system.
Congratulations, the application is installed! You can execute TFM if you have already installed and started the database server. Your two license options are to purchase a TFM Base license and install it or run the application and select a 30 day demonstration.
If for some reason you find that you need to remove the TFM application (we really worked to find a reason but could not), we provide a mechanism for de-installing TFM. When you execute the de-install program you will get a screen that looks like the following:
The next step is to select the "Uninstall" button and all the the TFM files will be removed from your computer. If there is a problem removing any of the files, the final screen will report them to you. In this example it couldn't remove the alias in the dock. Any listed actions in this window may need to be performed manually.
