I was running TreFre Medical and a window displayed indicating that a valid license was not located to run TFM. What does this mean?
There are several possibilities. If you were running a demo version, the 30 limit may have expired. If you were running a purchased version, if someone on another computer in the office just ran TFM and their TFM preference for computer name was set to the same computer name as yours, they may have allocated your license. Use the "License Management" menu to determine who has the allocated TFM licenses. Refer to the user manual for more details. If this happens frequently, it can be remedied by purchasing an additional TFM client licenses. |
I noticed that the scheduler buttons in the main TFM window are disabled. When will that capability be available?
The TFM scheduler is planned to be available near the end of 2003. This will be a new TFM feature and details on the purchase of this feature will be available soon. |
The "Create labels" feature does not use patient names. How does it work?
The label feature for patients actually uses a field define the patient that is called the "Mail Label". You will find a "Mail" checkbox and a label field in the patient edit screens. TFM realizes that providers don't usually need labels for every patient since it would create many duplicates (multiple patients in a family). To use patient labels, you typically enable the "Mail" flag for only one person/patient in the family, thus creating a single label per family. You can use the TFM find patient screen to selectively list patients and create labels for the found ones only. Labels created for guarantors actually use the guarantor name. |
What does the "Features to Run" setting in the Preferences/Database window provide?
Every time that TFM is run, this setting is used to determine which licenses should be allocated from the TFM database. For this release, the only valid choice is TFM. In the near future, the scheduler will be a valid choice. In this manner, any computer in the office could be configured to run the scheduler automatically. |
How do I create doctor signature and business logo files?
TFM does not provide this capability however, some common methods will be described in the next release of the TFM user manual. |
