This screen displays the provider schedule for a complete day. Details on appointment times, patient names, and visit information as well as details on any reserved times are displayed.
Along the top, the current day/date as well as the selected day/date are both listed. Buttons are included in this section to open the Edit Appointments screen and the Week Schedule screen. The currently selected date will be the default date when these additional screens are opened. Buttons are also included in the top section to create a PDF document for the day schedule and to close the window.
A date selector for the current day is available. When this field is modified, the day schedule that is displayed in the table is updated to the office hours and appointments for the new date for the selected provider. A 1 second delay is built in so that the user can scroll through days (by hitting the UP and DOWN arrows) without the overhead of updating the table on each day that the user may wish to skip.
A color chart is displayed indicating the colors that have been set in Scheduler Preferences for single, double, double+ bookings and blocks of time.
A provider selector is displayed. This popup list contains all providers defined in TreFre Medical. When a provider is selected, the day schedule that is displayed in the table is updated to the office hours, appointments, and reserved times for the SELECTED provider on the SELECTED day.
The first column in the table is color coded based on the preference settings that have been set in Scheduler Preferences for single, double, double+ appointment bookings as well as blocks of time. A color chart indicating these choices is displayed at the top of this screen. The colors saved for provider reserved times are also seen in the first column. In the example Schedule Table shown above, appointments are scheduled to begin at 8:15, 8:30, 8:30, and 8:45. This is indicated by the patient name in the 2nd column, next to the time slot. The Duration and Visit information that was entered in the Appointments screen is listed in the 3rd column. The time slot at 9:00 is double-booked by two appointments (the 45 and 90 minute appointments). The time slots between 8:30 and 8:45 are actually triple-booked by the three appointments because they overlap. The time slots between 12:00 and 1:00 are reserved for lunch. Those between 1:00 and 2:30 are a block of time reserved for new patients. Those between 3:00 and 5:00 are provider reserved times (a golf league in this example).
If there are multiple appointments scheduled to start at the exact same time, duplicate time rows are entered in the table so the provider can easily determine which patients are scheduled at the exact same starting time (8:30 in this example).
Double-clicking a row in the table where the first column is white will open the Edit Appointments screen to edit a new appointment or block of time at the selected time. You will need to select a patient or create a new one when the Appointment screen opens for a new appointment. When the new appointment or block of time is saved, this Day Schedule screen will automatically be updated with the new reservation.
Double-clicking a row in the table where a patient name is listed in the second column will open the Appointments screen to edit the selected appointment. Double-clicking a any row in the table that is a block of time will open the Appointments screen to edit the block of time. Rows in the table that are double-booked, more than double-booked, or are reserved times are not selectable.
