The Tool Bar is illustrated in The Main Window. The main purpose is to provide access to all the capabilities of TFM. The various buttons include:
| Toolbar Sections:      | Patient |   Coverage |     Scheduling  |            Encounter |    EOP  |   Reports |
There are two buttons in the Patient section of the Tool Bar, a New button and a Find button. The New button opens a dialog to edit patient details. The Find button is used to display a screen enabling the entry of search criteria to locate specific patients. The Finding People chapter provides details on this capability.
Likewise, there are two buttons in the Coverage section of the Tool Bar, a New button and a Find button. The New button is used to create a new coverage by creating a new guarantor and assigning a payer to it. Refer to Edit Coverage for details. The Find button is used to locate specific coverages by either guarantor or payer searches. The Finding People chapter provides details on this capability.
There are five buttons in the Scheduler section of the Tool Bar. The Appointment button enables patient appointment editing. The Today button displays the provider schedule for the current day. The Week button displays the provider schedule for the current week. The W+ and W++buttons display the provider schedule for the next week and two weeks in advance. After the Today button has been selected, the W+ and W++buttons change to d+ and d++buttons to display successive days rather than weeks.
If a valid TFM Scheduler license has not been purchased, these five buttons will be disabled.
There are two buttons in the Encounter section of the Tool Bar, a New button and a Find button. The New button opens the Encounter Details Edit screen to create a new encounter. The Find button is used to open a window that allows finding specific encounters based on certain filtering criteria. The Encounters chapter provides details about encounters.
There are two buttons in the EOP section of the Tool Bar, a New button and a Find button. New is used to create a new EOP and Find is used to open a window that allows finding specific EOPs based on certain filtering criteria. The Explanation of Payment chapter provides details on this capability.
There is one button for Reports. This button navigates to a section of TFM where various reports concerning the entire financial state of the medical practice can be created. Refer to the chapter titled Generating Reports for complete details on the types of reports available.
Every other window in TFM maintains its own menu bar and set of menus that are tailored specifically to its own requirements. These menu options are described in the appropriate sections of this manual where the windows are illustrated.
Most windows have multiple choices for the method in which they are closed. Choices typically include standard Operating System window close icons, per window File->Close menu items, and Close/Cancel buttons near the bottom of the windows. Generally, all three methods of window closing are acceptable to use. Each performs the same close processing in TFM.
