All EOPs are accessed through the main toolbar. (seen in image at the right) Near the end of the toolbar you will see a label EOP. Under the EOP label are two buttons, New and Find. Selecting the Find button will open the following dialog that will help you locate one or more EOPs already recorded in TFM.
The dialog displayed in the following image is a sample of the dialog that will help you locate existing Explanations of Payments or EOPs recorded in TFM. There is a lot of information in this dialog. We will examine each of the four different sections below.

In the upper left corner of the EOP Find dialog you will see a table of data that lists the currently located EOPs. The first thing you will notice is a simple statement above the table that gives you a quick summary of the information found in the table. At the top of this image you will see the following line: 7 - Listed EOPs for a TOTAL Amount of $772.34. As you can see the table has 7 alphabetically displayed EOPs. When listed EOPs are added together they total $772.34. This is useful for a few reasons. You can get a total amount paid:
The table displays all of the EOPs recorded in TFM that match the currently selected filters. (see next section) When you double-click with your mouse on an EOP in the table an EOP Summary dialog will appear allowing you to edit the EOP. This is discussed in a following chapter.
The table contains several pieces of information that will help you locate the exact EOP you are looking for. The table has the following fields:
Attempting to find an EOP can be a challenge. TFM provides a rich set of filters to help find EOPs. The filters are use to search for matches in the TFM database. Each of the filters can be used individually, any group or all of them. So, the idea is to select the filters of choice, when that is complete, you select the "Create Filtered List" button to cause a search of the database for all EOPs that have the same characteristics as those you selected in the filters. When the search is complete the Found List Table will be filed with the current matches.
There is a second button just below the filter list called "Find All EOPs" button. Selecting this button will get all EOPs currently in the TFM database and list them in the table. If many EOPs have been entered then this could take some time.
There are four popup filters and three text fields. All of the popup fields have a special selection called Don't Use. This is the default selection and is selected when you don't want to use a feature during the search. If the three text fields are blank then they will not be used during the search. Note: the Start Date is defaulted to the current date. Each of the filter options are discussed below:
This section of the dialog is used generate a PDF document of the currently selected list of EOPs. There is one text field in this section. It is used to create the name of the file that will contain the report of EOPs. The file will be written in the Reports directory specified in preferences. Once the filename has been created then selecting the Create PDF file button will cause the creation of the report file.
There are several dialog buttons used to direct the interactions with EOPs. These buttons are:
